David Lee Larman, age 74, passed away March 31, 2021, at his home in Peoria
Arizona. Dave was born on 3 July, 1946 in Searcy, AR to Albert and Ruby Larman.
After the death of his father at an early age they relocated to El Paso TX, and his
mother married Bert Clement, a member of the United States Air Force. This
would start a life time of travel for Dave. He attended school in Arkansas, Texas,
England, Louisiana and graduated from Madrid High School, Spain in 1964. He
then joined the Air Force and became a Reciprocating Engine Mechanic, serving
two tours in Viet Nam. He would later become a Flight Engineer, flying C-141’s,
logging thousands of hours traveling the world. After his retirement he was able
to complete his college degree while pursuing his second career working for the
Honeywell Corporation in quality assurance. He started his third career forming
his own business, Quality Systems, as an independent contractor. A business that
would again put him on the road around the globe. He was never one to sit still,
always on the move until the very end. He was first and foremost a Patriot. He
loved his country and was willing to die for it. In the end, with his Agent Orange
connected Lung Cancer that is what he did. An honorable, no regret Hero, loved
by his family and friends. He is survived by: his wife of 37 years, Shyla Larman;
daughters Jessica Clark, Mindy Sassman, Michele Possenti, Christine McSweeney
and son Wade Zellmer; eight grandchildren; brother Robert Larman and sisters
Linda Crocker and Janet Clement. A family graveside service will be held at the
National Memorial Cemetery 30 April, 2021.
